About

Eyes of the River

Richard, 'Rick' Larson returned from war 48 years ago

suffering profound trauma. His wife and young daughter,

Beth, had to escape his violent addictions. In the time

since, Rick lives in obscurity at a forsaken boatyard on

DC's desolate Anacostia River, evading any chance for

another such loss. But now his unexpected friend, a pre-

cocious local student named Allie Sheridan has vanished

too, fleeing from sexual trauma at the hands of a

powerful, inner circle Washington attorney. Her disap-

pearance incites a cascade of tragedies across Rick's world

as the young girl's prominent businessman father and

ruthless stepmother, Senator Michele Baxter, descend

upon his isolated refuge to find her. Rick is confronted by

his enduring hope for redemption as he desperately

searches for Allie. Soon, he is left with no choice but to

trust the vision and brotherly support of his committed

friend and fellow Vietnam Veteran, Tremaine Wilson,

who survives daily torment from PTSD under Rick's care.

Interwoven throughout this relentless pursuit is the

destined final battle with their demons and a deepening

journey of healing.
